Peanuts in your coke? From Richard Cook: My dad taught me to do this as a kid when we were on airplanes. You'd pour your pack of peanuts into your coke. It would make your coke have this nice salty flavor, and the peanuts would have this weird sweet flavor as it soaked up the coke. I found a link that verifies this "southern treat".
