MCDONALD'S said goodbye to the man behind such company mainstays as the Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets and the Egg McMuffin. Fred Turner, 71, a 48-year McDonald’s veteran who started as a counterman and rose through the ranks to serve as the company’s chairman & CEO, is stepping down as honorary senior chairman of the board.
